The article doesn't go into any details about the counter claim that making these changes would be an unreasonable burden, but I can think of one possible explanation: why spend taxpayer money reworking - again - our currency when using cash is now largely optional?
I do just about everything with electrons or plastic now. About the only time I have cash on me is when someone else pays me with it. Otherwise, I don't spend cash.
Somewhere out there, I'm sure there are entrepreneurs with ideas and inventions that could solve this for blind people, if they haven't already. Why not let them address this issue instead of making government throw more money at it (no pun intended).
