Lazy Saturday Shopping for Lazy Devices

A rather hectic work week is finally over, so I have spent my day relaxing and playing around a bit. Part of this time has been spent checking out something that will allow me to relax even more: Roomba robotic vacuums.

I've thought about getting one of these for a while, and now I've looked into what exactly one gets with the various models. There are many features the more expensive models have that would be kind of nice, like on-board scheduling and recharging stations the robot can automatically dock with. For the money, however, I am thinking that stuff isn't all that great. I can just unplug the robot and start it up when I want the floor vacuumed, then plug it back in when it's done. A few hundred dollars more to avoid that stuff doesn't seem worth it.

I'm thinking about getting the Roomba 410 model, which has a list of features that I find satisfying while still being on the lower end of the price range of these robots - $150. From reading customer reviews, it sounds like the pros outweigh the cons, and many have suggested that the devices entertain their pets - my cats hate the vacuum, so perhaps they would get along better with one of these.

I'm going to think about it a while longer, which will give me time to build up more passive income to pay for one. Right now this thing could be an impulse buy, so I want to make sure it's a good use of my money first. Besides... this is a lazy Saturday, and placing an order would require effort!
