Not much to say today as I'm busy with something else - my business partner is getting married today, so I've been getting stuff together to head west for that rather than looking up stuff to write posts about.
However, there is something I've been kicking around for a while.
T. Boone Pickens. His is a name you might have heard recently. Former oil man, hedge fund manager now.
Months and months ago, I read about a multi-billion dollar, super ambitious wind farm project he was sinking money into (I think I saw this in Forbes magazine). All good, whatever. It's his cash.
However...
Recently, Pickens has been on the radio chanting the "we can't drill our way out of the current energy crisis" mantra of the communist Democrats (and apparently he's now meeting with the Dems in closed door meetings). His solution? Wind power. Pretty convenient... sort of like Al Gore and his carbon credits that he sells himself: create an issue by using the force of government to cause artificial shortages of something, then ride to the rescue with the "alternative."
Think Pickens really has your interests in mind?
Sounds to me like another guy who already has his, and he can keep getting his, but he doesn't care if it stops people like me and you from getting ours. The shorter version term for this: drawbridger.
This is something I might flesh out some more later.
Outta Here, and T. Boone Pickens Sucks?

Since we could not find a vehicle registered for T. Boone Pickens, the oil man on television, see what vehicle his wife drives

Great minds think alike! There is no question that what T. Boone and Al Gore are peddling are indulgences. I just put in my first 2 cents on what will probably add up to much more.

Cheap plug, but since they coincided so well...

I'm afraid I'm missing the relevance. Why is it important what these people drive?

Plug away all you want! In fact, I'm planning on creating a "blogroll" in the right side column soon-ish. Your blog is on the list. :)

I find it mind boggling that you would put down someone who has obviously made a fortune who is an American - Isn't that the American dream?
Maybe you should look at the saying you have at the top of your page?
Who cares who this guy is talking to in order to make this happen? If he is willing to lead, put money in, and put thousands of Americans back to work then I think he is one of those leaders that Lee Iococca was talking about in his book!

The American dream doesn't include cornering people into a market that will unnecessarily cost individuals more than existing alternatives by using the power of government to force them into your schemes (not to mention getting them to pay for it all too with tax subsidies).
That's the Mexican way, i.e. Carlos Slim.
I understand the quote at the top of my page perfectly. You have some studying to do, however.
