Saving Energy Sucks!

These days, it seems that everyone is bent on saving energy. Despite the numerous ways we could generate more energy (nukes) or tap energy ready and waiting for us to use it (oil), conservation is all the rage. Slowly but surely, this theme is finding its way into every product we use.

And now, saving energy sucks, too.

What do I mean? Simple: the Dirt Devil AccuCharge cordless vacuum.

This new Dirt Devil product is an Energy Star compliant device, meaning it is probably like the computer you're using right now. By design, it uses less power than a conventional version of the same thing. In all seriousness, this is a good thing, for while we should be building nuke plants and drilling for our own oil, conservation means we can make it all last much longer (and starve our enemies for much longer).
