Contact Lenses and Workplace Realities: Zenni Optical to the Rescue!

I've been thinking of ditching my glasses and going back to contacts. I made the switch from contacts to glasses a couple of years ago when something got under one of my lenses and scratched my eye. I wasn't able to wear my contacts while I waited for my eye to mend, so I got out my eyeglasses that I kept as a back-up and put them on. After a few days, I started to enjoy just popping my glasses on and off rather than going through the ritual of hand washing, lens washing, etc. just to put my contacts in every day.

Since then, I got into pest control, a line of work in which contacts are actually a bit of a workplace liability. Basically, if I get something in my eyes, like pesticides, contact lenses can actually trap the stuff between them and the surfaces of my eyes - not good.

I may still get the contacts anyway though because now I can get cheap eyeglasses through Zenni optical. I first heard of this company on the Clark Howard Show, a radio program full of awesome financial advice. Clark tries all sorts of stuff out so we, the audience, do not have to find out the hard way that something is a bad deal. He had a good experience with Zenni, so I figure this would be a good way for me to get the best of both worlds: contacts when I'm off work, affordable eyeglasses for when I'm killing vermin.
