It occurred to me last night as I cooked chicken over my illegal BBQ why it is that I haven't been posting so much lately: the end of summer panic is upon me.
This is that wonderful time in the summer when one realizes that the end is nigh... of the summer. In a short month, maybe a little more, that cold stuff is going to come back and chase me indoors. Thus, the desire to spend more time out there and less time in here is keeping me away a bit.
There are some good things associated with the end of the summer, like the opening of various hunting seasons (and I've got a client who said I could hunt deer and elk on his land this year - score!). My birthday is in October so uhh... I guess I get another number. But that whole cold thing...
Anyway, I'll no doubt start trickling back in here soonish. But not tonight I bet, since my cigar sampler that I ordered two months ago has finally arrived (two months! That's old school order fulfillment right there!).

The end is neigh? Only if you're Mr. Ed, Paul.
Make sure those cigars are put in a humidor forthwith! Gotta keep 'em humid lest the beetle larvae chew out.
Actually, I heard the end of Mr. Ed was a glue factory.
The end of summer can't come soon enough for me. I'm exceptionally tired of 100+ degree temps and no working a/c in my car. :::shudder:::
Deb -
I'm kicking around the idea of wiring a small, portable electric AC unit into the trunk of my car. If I can figure out how, I'll do it this winter when the prices on those things will be way down.
Otherwise... end of summer! Noooooo!
