Did UBS Just Torpedo Congressional Dems?

It's been in the news lately that The Obama and his merry band of looters have been going after Switzerland's biggest bank, UBS, on the issue of offshore accounts owned by Americans. Since The Obama wants all of you bent out of shape and green with envy over what other people have, this is an obvious and easy target.

The problem the looters are running into with this plan is that the Swiss are rather proud of their banking secrecy laws, and they're more than a little angry that The Obama and his congressional thugs are trying to break that all down.

Though the Swiss are fighting back, they have agreed to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in fines and release names of Americans who have one of these offshore accounts with UBS. I wrote a post about this on February 18th when the news first came out. I also predicted in that piece that a lot of high ranking DNC names would be on that list. More on that in a moment...

Today, I saw this headline at Yahoo! Finance:

UBS says had 47K accounts for Americans

WASHINGTON (AP) -- UBS AG now says it had about 47,000 accounts held by Americans who didn't pay U.S. taxes on their assets, but Switzerland's biggest bank is providing the names of only 300 American clients to the U.S. government in a showdown over secrecy. [emphasis added]

47,000 names, but they're releasing only 300? What gives?

The 111th Congress has 256 Democrats in the House and 56 in the Senate. That's 312 individuals.

Coincidence?

Maybe. We'll just have to wait and see if this story mysteriously disappears.
