I'm now up to 59 consecutive winning Forex trades, as of this evening, and I've also exceeded my weekly NAV growth target for the week again. I'm still trading only the eur/usd pair, which I'm keeping one eye on as I type this, looking for "gravy gain" opportunities now that I'm already past my current goal.
My last three trades have been long the Euro because at the times I have logged in to my account, that has been the direction of the trend. The vast majority of my 59 wins, however, have been short trades.
I'm noticing that when I trade long, I feel like I'm trying to write with my off-hand. It just doesn't feel natural to me for some reason. The pattern I've been looking for in the candlesticks seems to work going up or down, but there's some difference to a long trade that I just can't identify. I'm probably just imagining this, maybe it's my brain working a bit harder to reverse the cues I've learned to respond to almost automatically when trading short. Who knows?
It's a bit like driving a manual transmission car, I guess. Once you know how to drive one, you know how to drive them all, but every car's clutch and gearing is just a little bit different...
