In the "dining room" of my apartment (just an area off the kitchen where I keep a kitchen table - it's not a room), I have a rather large, really rather nice wooden dining table... with no chairs. The table came to me through what I call the "moving out lotto," which is a process that occurs any time people you know move away. Inevitably there is something or things that they don't want to take with them for various reasons, and you "win" it. Such was the case with this piece of furniture.
Unfortunately, it did not come with chairs. I may win those in a future moving out lotto event, but as the people I know settle down and move around less frequently, the chances decrease. So I took a look around the 'net this afternoon at Italian dining room furniture and... well, I think I may wait on another moving out lotto after all. It would be nice to be able to serve a meal at that table but I live alone anyway and hundreds, or even thousands of dollars, just to be able to do so? Maybe when I have so much passive income that I have no idea what to do with it all, then I might spend on something like this.
