"...a 250,000-square-foot museum of news — [The Newseum] offers visitors an experience that blends five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and hands-on exhibits.
The Newseum is located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., on America’s Main Street between the White House and the U.S. Capitol and adjacent to the Smithsonian museums on the National Mall. The exterior’s unique architectural features include a 74-foot-high marble engraving of the First Amendment and an immense front wall of glass through which passers-by can watch the museum fulfill its mission of providing a forum where the media and the public can gain a better understanding of each other.
Specifically, my friend shared this link with me:
Following this will take you to an interactive flash map. Each orange dot on the map is where a newspaper is published that the map links to. If you mouse over a dot, you will see the current front page of the newspaper it represents. Click on it and you'll be taken to a large version of the newspaper's front page, along with links to its own website.
I tried this out and jumped over to the UAE. Since several important things are happening there right now in regard to some of my investments (forex, which I've written about quite a bit, and thorium-fueled nuclear power, which I haven't mentioned here before), I wanted to see what is going on over there today.
This is a very useful tool to have. If you're investing in something in a far off part of the world, traveling to a new destination soon, or you're just curious about what is going on in a familiar or unfamiliar place, check out this map!
