Making Some Changes

I've let this thing sit for several months, again, but lately I've been kicking around some ideas for what I'd like to do with paulezimmerman.com.

First order of business, I thought, should be a redesign. Blogger now provides these dynamic templates, which seemed to me to be the most appealing choice. There's some points where it falls a bit short of what I want, but I need to play around with it more to see what I can do from here. Some quick searching and reading this morning also suggests to me that what I'm hoping for (gadget customization, mainly) will be available soon.

What sparked my interest in this again? The short version: several personal projects of an entrepreneurial nature, some philosophical inquiry over the last several months, a reexamination of personal interests, etc. Where it all will take this blog is basically onto subjects other than politics (mostly, can't completely escape that in life) and more so to personal projects, goals, and humor. I'm still working my way toward my own financial independence, a theme I don't plan to move away from, and I'm thinking that others seeking the same or similar paths might find things of interest here.

Now to see if I can get my Project Wonderful ad boxes set up again. For a blog that has been dead for months, that system did continue to perform relatively well for me...
